When it comes to hunting, London hotels may have an advantage over hunting grounds in the United States
London hotels, which are often referred to as hunting grounds, have a reputation for having a better rate of attendance than hunting grounds.
However, that’s not necessarily the case.
The difference may be more like an “appeal to the locals,” according to Nick Riewoldt, senior vice president of hunting services at Hunt, the global leader in hunting services.
“A London hotel is like a vacation home in that respect,” he says.
“We see that when people go to the country.
The hunting experience is just the opposite.
It’s the opposite of the luxury experience.”
Riewloedt also says that when it comes for hunting, there are a number of factors that can impact the quality of a hunt.
For example, the availability of resources such as food and fuel can have a huge impact on how efficiently a hunt can be completed.
“If a hotel has a shortage of food, there’s a chance that they can be overworked and that’s a huge risk for them,” he explains.
“And if you’re a big hunter, then you’ll want to make sure you can get your gear on the road to your destination.”
For this reason, he says, hotels in London are well placed to take advantage of these hunting opportunities.
“When we’re in the country, we’re just as likely to have a shortage as we are a supply,” he adds.
The other factor that might affect how a hunt is completed is the availability and quality of the equipment being used to complete the hunt.
“The hunting experience in London is really different than it is in some of the other big cities,” Riewolds says.
For one, he points out that hotels are often able to offer a more expansive hunting experience compared to hunting in more rural areas.
“There are more people to choose from when you’re hunting in a town, so you can make the most of the opportunities that you have,” he points to the difference in hunting and the logistics involved.
“Hunting in a hotel in the UK, you’re going to have to be a little bit more organised.”
The other advantage of hunting in London, Riews says, is that the hotels can offer more flexible lodging options.
“You can stay in hotels and be an expatriate and then go hunting in the countryside,” he notes.
“But when you come back, it’s really, really different to how it’s done here.”
Hunting in London The advantages of London for hunting have already been discussed by many hunting enthusiasts, but Riewws point out that there are plenty of other factors that come into play when it is hunting season.
“In the United Kingdom, the hunting season is really in full swing,” he continues.
“Whether you’re on the hunt or not, you are going to get a lot of competition, a lot more competition from people in other parts of the country,” he concludes.
In the UK alone, there have been an estimated 20,000 hunts in the past year.
The average hotel is also expecting an increase in the number of hunters, so that will certainly be an issue, Rives adds.
“One of the things we’re looking at right now is looking at where our hunters are coming from,” he said.
“That’s one of the main things we are looking at now.
If we can figure out where their hunting interests are, then we can better manage their time.”
