Newport RI, Rhode Island (CNN) — There’s nothing quite like a good swim.
But there’s also nothing quite as satisfying as a nice, warm, hot and steamy hot tub.
That’s what the Newport RI Renaissance Hotel and Casino is hoping to change for the next four months with a hot tub rental program.
The hotel, which opened in January, is opening a new location on the Newport River.
The Renaissance Hotel & Casino is partnering with the city of Newport and the Newport Regional Council to offer a new pool and sauna area on the Riverfront.
The new pool will have a sauna, hot tub and water-making station for pool-goers.
A sauna is located inside the main bar area.
The sauna also has a full-size hot tub with hot water dispenser.
The spa area also has hot tubs and a steam room, according to the Renaissance Hotel.
The resort, located at 1021 N. Riverfront Drive, has more than 300 rooms.
The pool will be a “new and unique” pool, said Renaissance Hotel Executive Director Roberta Rolfe.
“We’re going to bring back the pool that people love, and that’s going to be a very unique pool that you won’t be able to find anywhere else in the area,” Rolfo said.
Hot tub rentals can be made up to three days in advance and include pool access and showers.
Guests will be able use a spa or sauna on the property.
A pool deck is located in the main hotel lobby, with a saunas and steam rooms for customers.
The Newport RI Tourism Development Corp. will help finance the $300,000 renovation, which is expected to open by the end of the month.
The Renaissance Hotel, which serves as the primary host hotel for Newport’s annual Renaissance Festival, has hosted a variety of events in the Newport area, including the Newport Rhode Island Jazz Festival, the Newport Beach Jazz Festival and the Festival of the Arts.
