The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported this week that Hilton Hawaii Hotels is closing four properties in Hawaii, including the famed Maui hotel.
The property is listed for $25.8 million, and the hotel is being renovated.
The Star-advertiser also reported the property was built in the 1920s and 1930s.
The new owners of the property say they will not change the name, but will continue to improve the property.
The new owners say they plan to build a hotel that is more environmentally friendly and includes solar power.
